There aren’t so many moments when I realize how amazing our local area is. I can probably count all of them on the nipples of the udder of the large plaster brown cow off of 309 by the craft beer shop. That’s like 4.
But seeing these amazing pictures totally sparked this feeling inside, like, WOW. We live in an area with some beautiful places, people and things in it. And we live in an area with some amazingly talented people in it who could capture that beauty. Whether it’s in nature, in the buildings and architecture, in the people or the seasons changing, these photos were such a pleasure for all of us to dive into.

The Fearsome Foursome divvied up the work of choosing winners, and we each picked our favorite 3 pictures. And there you have it, the collective awesome of our NEPA Calendar contest. You guys are really, really amazing. I’m not trying to get all sappy, but I might cry a little bit. Q_____Q
Some additional commentary on these pictures… Jeffrey Lloyd took his March photo at the fabulous local Hillside Farms, an amazing local farm and dairy. The Lands’ mission is to teach a sustainable, self-sufficient way of life that is based on respectful, traditional principles. They treat their animals amazing, not something every farm can claim, and have some of the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted. They seek to educate the public about what they do and even offer a Farm Camp and hands on educational classes for kids. Check out their website to learn all about their spectacular operation!
