….Reunited and it feels so good….

If you have been following the journey of how NEPA BlogCon was formed, you’ll already know that Mandy, Karla, Leslie and I met at a Blogfest gathering in 2012. The rest is history. After a string of successful events for NEPA BlogCon, for our sixth year, we decided to go back to our roots – where we were “born,” if you will — Blogfest! This year’s after party will coincide with 2017 Fall Blogfest and you’re all invited to the bloggiest party this area has ever seen!

NEPA Blogfest 2017 (Fall Edition)
5pm — ???
The River Grille
670 North River Street
Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
RSVP on Facebook

Blogfest touts itself as the best non-political political event of the season. No speeches are allowed and the rule is to agree to disagree but don’t be disagreeable. Many local and statewide candidates running for various offices will be attending. All are welcome, and there is no charge for admission. The event was originally founded from the area “Blogfathers” Gort42 (Ben Hoon), Another Monkey (Harold Jenkins) and Lulac Political Letter (David Yonki).

We’re also happy to welcome our after party sponsor WhatNow! app into the mix. In case you missed it, WhatNow won the 2017 tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition in the Non-Collegiate Division. Their app is an exciting new activity-based social media app that brings people together based on their common interests. Need another player for your golf game? Or need to find someone to hit happy hour with?  Or find some new friends at your new college?  WhatNow! is your go-to app for social/location based networking. You can find more information on their website:  Their (beta) app is available for download in the iTunes store and on Google Play. Give it a download and try it out the next time you’re trying to organize an event. Our after party is one of the events listed!

We’re looking forward to seeing you in one week! If you haven’t already, snag up your ticket to BlogCon today! Tickets are going like hotcakes!
