Ok, got that out of my system.

First, can I just say that I am so honored to be a part of this killer event. Thanks so much for inviting me into your awesome tribe.

I am a brand engagement expert which means I teach people how to not only look awesome but be awesome online.

One of the best ways you can show people that you are indeed awesome is to tell them your story. As bloggers, your stories are pretty important. If you can’t effectively tell one, people won’t read your blog.

Let’s take a moment to think about what you do when you first land on a new site or blog. You look around a little and most likely, you go to the about page. It’s your Welcome mat.

Fun fact: The About Page is the most visited page on most sites.

Truth.

For bloggers, this is the hook. If new visitors don’t feel invested in your story, they won’t stick  around.

It is totally tempting to ignore this page or write something short and non-committal but I suggest that you really give it the time and energy it deserves as the welcome mat to your blog.  I wrote a little book that is all about helping you write a killer bio.

It co-stars Keanu Reeves, Zoolander, Matt Damon and even Will Smith.
