2. Help our local 570 community continue to move into the age of technology.
Let’s face it – we’re not Silicon Valley of California, with super cool space cars and big fat Fortune 500 companies everywhere you look. We are little baby NEPA. And while we love our area the way it is, we want to see it continue to move along with the current trends in technology. The Internet is kind of a big deal, and not everyone in NEPA knows it. Our local businesses and economy could benefit from proper Internet advertising, and blogging and social media are an important part of that foundation. Let’s make NEPA look like a mover and a shaker… not some stone-age coal mining region with no know-how about where the world is headed. NEPA is just as e-savvy as anywhere else, and we’re out to prove it, BOOYAH!

3. Two words: Geek bellydancers.
What the hell man, didn’t you hear Antipode is going to be there? They are like this amazing troop of girls who combine traditional Arabic belly dancing with themes from geek culture. Think you’d never see Harry Potter performed by cute girls balancing swords on their heads? Think again. They’ve done shows with themes ranging from Super Mario Brothers to steampunk. They will be bringing to life some of the best things from the Internet at NEPA BlogCon. Don’t miss a chance to meet these super awesome girls and be entertained by their moves.

4. Be inspired… chat with other bloggers and get ideas for your own blog.
