Squirrel Girls Tech Camp is a one week camp experience, that offers the opportunity for girls in grades 4 through 6 to explore STEM topics in an encouraging, creative, and confidence-building environment, from 10:00am – 2:30pm. The curriculum incorporates a variety of media and hands-on activities, including lessons on computer science and programming, animation, game creation, digital music, robotics, internet safety, graphic design, and digital etiquette. The fun-filled, engaging, and educational experience at camp continues on with additional software to keep creating and building at home.

The camp will be open to 25 registrants in Monroe County and 50 registrants in Luzerne County, at a cost of $50 per child. A limited number of scholarships are available for families unable to pay the registration fee, thanks to the generous support of NEPA BlogCon attendees and sponsors. Scholarship applications, as well as registration details and forms, are available at the registration websites linked above.

Squirrel Girls Tech Camp also has opportunities for volunteer Instructors and Tech Camp Assistants. Join us for half a day or the whole week, it’s such a rewarding experience. Need a work excuse? We’re more than happy to provide one to your employer.
